HONOURS BLAZER
At Edenglen, the highest honour is to be awarded the Blue Blazer. To qualify for this prestigious award, a learner must have been awarded at least three different Full colours in sport, academic, cultural and leadership. Furthermore, such a learner must have been in the school since grade 8.
Cimone Kraukamp has been awarded Full colours for Leadership, as she was the Head Girl of the school. She also received Full colours for Academic achievement, Public Speaking, Olympiads and Formula One. She also received Half Colours for Netball and a Merit for Softball.
Cimone is a fine young lady, a role model at all times. Her behavior is impeccable and her integrity beyond reproach. In spite of all these achievemens, she stayed humble and true to herself. It is with great pride that we award her the Honours Blazer.
Tandee Coppin is a young lady who qualified for this award having achieved full colours in Squash, Hockey, Softball, Debating, Drama and Public speaking. She was awarded the SPORTSWOMAN OF THE YEAR trophy and she was a Leader. She is a mature young lady who was most deserving of this award.
Mandie Grobler is a young lady who qualified having achieved full colours for Leadership, Hockey, Athletics, Academics and Half Colours for Squash. She was top of her grade for 5 years and was a Leader at the school.
Both of these learners are exceptional young women, with exemplary work ethics. They are both ideal role models.
