We hope to see you there!
Just before the school holidays, Edenglen High school held an empowerment day for all their learners. The boys and girls in the school were spilt up into two groups. The boys had talks by the male teachers but also had talks from the female teachers. The girls were in the hall where they sang songs and really gave off a positive vibe to all the talks and advice given.
Matric learners Lesedi Dube (2019 head girl) and Bridget Ball (deputy head girl 2019) spoke to the girls about loving yourself and respecting who you are. They spoke about bullying and dealing with issues at school. Ron Atlas (Head Boy 2019) and Emmanuel Mulonza (deputy heads boy) gave advice to the boys, just as the girls had. Thank you to Mrs. Verwey who assisted with the running of the day.
Learners dressed in traditional clothes on the day to celebrate heritage day
The empowerment day was a great success and all the learners were well behaved and really enjoyed listening to what had to be said by their peers and teachers.
